Wikipedia’s got this definition pretty good, it states that, “Composting is the aerobic decomposition of biodegradable organic matter, producing compost. (Or in a simpler form: Composting is the decaying of food, mostly vegetables.) The decomposition is performed primarily by facultative and obligate aerobic bacteria, yeasts and fungi, helped in the cooler initial and ending phases by a number of larger organisms, such as ils, and other families representing ants, nematodes and oligochaete worms.â€

I compost at home and have found that the 'worm wine' liquid coming out of the worm farm is like steroids for vegetables. I was really impressed with the results. The solid compost is also great in the garden.
I bought a commercialy made worm farm (of 100% recycled plastic) but understand that they can be made from all manner of containers. One suggestion for a large farm is an old bath tub with mesh as a divider half way and an old door over the top. Worm on!

I think if you contact your worm farm supplier they'd absolutely LOVE to quote you on that in their promotional material!

Made me smile anyway! :D

You can also make fabulous worm farms just from two polystyrene boxes - a cheap and easy alternative and you can find great instructions on http://www.abc.net.au/creaturefeatures/make/wormfarm.htm

We brought a similar product and have been very impressed how simple it was to set up and how well it works.
