Just a quick question. Here at Dandenong Oasis we received a grant to begin a co-mingled recycling program. This grant covers the intitial start up in terms of materials, bins etc. However the ongoing cost of co-mingled recycle pick-ups and hire is quite high. As well as being costly i am having trouble finding a suitable company.
Most companies only offer wheelie bins which are stored on site which is very costly. I have found one which has 600L bins but i was wondering if anyone had any contacts that will do co-mingled pick-ups at a suitable price and preferably supply a 3m bin. Any help would be great.

Hi
Which companies have you tried already? It'd be best if you could have the same company dealing with your waste and recycling as you should be able to get the best deal. As a general rule; commingled recycling should be cheaper than waste to landfill collection, so if the quotes you're getting are not cheaper I'd suggest you keep looking. I'm pretty sure Cleanaway and JJ Richards both provide larger collection recepticles for recycling.

The YMCA have a sole supplier agreement with Veolia however they only provide the wheelie bin option which is far too expensive. I have also tried KS Environmental which is the best so far but still a little expensive for only a 600L bin.
I have contacted Cleanaway and JJ Richards but wasn't 100% happy with the price there. I might give them another call and see if i can try and squeeze a better deal.
